The average cost of recruiting, hiring and training an employee is over $7,500. An employee background check or criminal background check that includes an Address History, Criminal Record Search, Employment and Education Verification is between 1 and 2 percent of that cost.

Our pre employment screening shows that approximately 30% of all resumes contain false or misleading information.

Negligent Hiring jury awards average in excess of $500,000 and that does not include legal expenses. A quality pre employment screening process usually includes a criminal background check, which incorporates a Criminal Record Search to help prove the proper due diligence in hiring was executed.

Most organizations order more than one search when they order a criminal background check report (Note: A "search" is a single item being researched, such as one County Criminal Record search. A "report" is the compilation of all searches completed during the criminal background check).

Many organizations combine comprehensive pre employment screening and criminal background check with an annual employee audit, which consists of a criminal record search for the period since their hire date or last audit.
